“White Night” is a part of international project of White Nights in Europe launched by five capital cities in Europe – Brussels, Madrid, Paris, Riga and Rome. The relay race of White Nights in Europe has been taken over also by Amsterdam, Bucharest, Porto and Valletta, in the rest of the world – Toronto, Tokyo, Montreal, Chicago and other cities.

In Riga, this tradition continues for the fifth year already. The White Night has come to be one of the most democratic and widely visited culture events in Riga. Last year, the culture forum White Night gathered a record number of visitors - approximately 45,000 residents and guests of Riga.
